Tree Top Walk our Business of the Month

The Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk, our local tourism icon, recently hosted the West Australian Opera at an event that highlighted not only the Tree Top Walk as one of the State’s most popular tourism attractions, but also Walpole and the region.
Since the arrival of Business Manager Julie Ross, we have come to expect quality events to be showcased at the Tree Top Walk and we have certainly not been disappointed. Julie has been in the Manager role for the past eleven years and in that time she has lifted the profile of the Tree Top Walk as a tourism destination and has hosted a wide range of events from birthdays, to art exhibitions to TV shows, that have provided positive flow on effects to our town.
Sadly Julie has decided to move on. She explained the past eleven years have been amazing.
“As manager at the Tree Top Walk, I believe it’s essential to engage and capture the hearts of our visitors. My work ethos is directed by my belief that if you have a passion and a determined belief in what you do, you will love doing it and I have,” she said.
“I have loved getting to know the Walpole community and its business members and living in Denmark I feel like a have a foot in both camps. I have welcomed the opportunity to be inclusive, bring people with us in what we do and remind the community that it is their Tree Top Walk and National Parks,” She added.
At the same time another icon of the Tree Top Walk has also decided to call it quits after a staggering 21 years. Terrie Ebbet has worked as a guide at the Tree Top Walk since it opened in 1996. Her welcoming manner, joy and enthusiasm have made Terrie an integral part of the team.
Of her time at the Tree Top Walk Terrie said: “It has demonstrated to me how important it is for visitors to come and be welcomed and see what beauty we have here in a relaxed atmosphere.”
“One of the main comments I used to get was how our national parks were so clean and well-designed compared to theirs back home. It’s been great to have made many friends at the Tree Top Walk, had lots of laughs, worked hard and simply smile about my time at the TTW,” she added.
Julie and Terrie will be very hard to replace, they have become as much as part of the Tree Top Walk as the tingle trees. There’s no doubt they will excel in whatever they choose to follow-on with and we wish them all the very best.
