WalpoleOnline.com is your local online business directory and our November business of the month is Denmark Picture Framing & Gifts. To find out more go to WalpoleOnline.com.

Please come and meet Mike and Julie from Denmark Picture Framing & Gifts. They are a are a friendly husband & wife team who like to offer a personal service with a smile.

Julie told us ‘we moved to Denmark after spending 10 years in Perth & have a daughter who is in her last year at Denmark Primary School.

We are keen football (soccer to our Aussie friends) & rugby union fans and long time supporters of Sale Sharks & Manchester United both back in the UK.‘

‘We offer high quality custom picture framing solutions for all your framing needs. Our friendly personal service ensures the right frame, mount, & glazing are chosen to enhance your cherished item and preserve it for many more years to come.

We now retail quality art supplies with ranges suitable for children, students & the professional. These ranges are continuously being expanded.

We provide a varied range of trophies, plaques, medals & badges to local schools, sports clubs, associations & businesses. We custom cut coloured vinyl for honour boards & signs and also cut keys.

Our giftware range includes jewelry & scarves, wallets & purses, key rings and watches including replacement bands & batteries.’

Lastly Mike and Julie are passionate supporters of our community and have involved themselves, sponsored, helped and advertised  the following causes and associations: The Denmark Woodturners for the past 2 years. ‘Our love of nature and the fact that we too use wood for picture framing attracted us and after seeing what they can turn an old piece of wood into who wouldn’t want to help.

Painting & Drawing Best Under 18 prize at the first Picnic at Nornalup Art Competition & Exhibition last year. Part of our sponsorship included an art supplies pack with materials to help encourage the young to continue to produce artworks, develop their skills and learn new techniques while having fun away for the electronic gadgets they all so love today!

Peoples Choice Award at the Art Not Waste Exhibition. Encourage others to recycle as we do. As picture framers we try to re-use material off-cuts as much as we can & have always used paper bags.

Both of our families have been touched by the loss of loved ones through cancer in its many forms so this charity is has deep meaning for us. We support the Riverside Clubs Big Breakfast by donating raffle prizes and this year we are also supporting Walpole CRC’s Breakfast this month by donating raffle prizes.

We have two collection boxes in our shop for The Sam Hunt Foundation. This small local charity helps support ‘country kids’ with the costs involved in purchasing veterinary training books & equipment required for their studies and also The Denmark Men’s Shed.’

So come and see this lovely couple that are giving it a go in the Great Southern, Support Local.
